| An Australian XC Falcon, same shape as mine except my Fairmont has rectangular headlights, this looks like a GS with 4 round headlights, and the standard falcon has the basic 2 round lights a looong way apart.
|
Side view of the same Falcon, with not too over the top graphics. From here it's identical to my model, but a hell of a lot better looking! I did remove my bumper overriders though, not keen on them, and will be painting my bumpers.
| Australia's first home-designed Falcon, the 1972-74 XA, and the return of the coupe. This isn't exactly stock, but illustrates how important wide rears are on these bodies, they look horrible with narrow rubber. This is about right.

Same XA coupe from a more sinister angle... I quite like this car, but it's a tough colour to show off detail in a photo.

| This is the cover of a magazine I have stashed away and keep as-new. It shows a good cross section of older Aussie falcons, when they still had balls. |
Here's a close-up and much larger version of the same, about 380kb, allowing you to get a closer look at the two coupes.
| This extraordinary Boss 429 with 2 blowers and intercooler is the work of Rod Hadfield of Castlemaine, Australia, and was put into a model T Ford Coupe. Pics to come as soon as I can find the mag. Pic links to full-page article, plus Merlin V12 project.

My brothers XA Fairmont, pretty ordinary looking car I admit, but also holder of several 'sleeper' awards. Engine was 466cid with 11.4:1 forged pistons, and it pulled relentlessly past 6,500rpm, all on 5.5 inch rims. Brakes? What brakes?
| Early photo without grille and with the motor looking it's worst, I'll replace it when I find a nicer shot, with grille, detailed valvecovers etc etc. |
As with the above pic, this is the motor looking it's worst. Headers are Pacemaker, an Australian company who do very nice work. They also provided adapter engine mount plates so it bolted straight in.

| 2000 Venom AU Falcon Ute, 5.0 litre, only 165kw at the rear wheels but okay for a work hack.
Tried to stick both pics together, not too pretty, original frontal shot was chopped by centre of magazine, bummer.
